Udaariyaan Generation Leap: In 2021, Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta ventured into production with their show Udaariyaan on Colors TV, featuring Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Ankit Gupta, and Isha Malviya in the lead roles. From the very beginning, the show exceeded expectations by performing exceptionally well on the TRP charts.

Initially revolving around the love triangle between Tejo, Fateh, and Jasmine, the daily soap catapulted Priyanka, Ankit, and Isha to household fame. However, last year, Priyanka and Ankit Gupta bid farewell to Udaariyaan as the makers decided to introduce a generation leap and revamp the storyline.

ANOTHER GENERATION LEAP IN UDAARIYAAN

After the leap, Hitesh Bhardwaj and Twinkle Arora were introduced as the new lead couple alongside Isha Malviya. Even after their entries, the daily soap continued to fetch decent numbers for the channel. As the new cast of Udaariyaan is set to complete a year, the makers are planning for the show's third season by introducing another generation leap.

As per earlier reports, Ali Baba and Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 fame Sheezan Khan was said to be approached to essay the male lead in Udaariyaan after the impending leap. However, the latest buzz suggests that the deal failed to materialize between the actor and makers. Hence, he'll not be a part of the popular show.

Now, the latest buzz suggests that the makers are considering a Punjabi industry face to replace Hitesh Bhardwaj as the new male lead of Udaariyaan. Well, we're talking about Anuraj Chahal.

UDAARIYAAN: WHO IS ANURAJ CHAHAL?

Revealing the same, a source informed BollywoodMDB, "Anuraj has impressed the makers and a final nod from the Channel is expected soon." However, an official announcement from the makers is still awaited. If the news turns out to be true, Anuraj will become the third male lead role of Udaariyaan after Ankit Gupta and Hitesh Bhardwaj.

For the unversed, Anuraj Chahal has featured in a few Punjabi music videos like Lehgna (Nimrat Khaira) and Farraar.
