Urfi Javed supports Aishwarya Rai: Uorfi Javed expressed her displeasure over Vivek Agnihotri's remark on Aishwarya Rai after the latter made a grand appearance at the Cannes Film Festival 2023. The Bigg Boss OTT star didn't hold back while slamming the filmmaker after he shared a picture of the former Miss World from the gala event along with a note on 'costume slaves'.

Several netizens lashed out at The Kashmir Files director, calling his remark as 'demeaning'. She took a jibe at him, mentioning that she is curious to know the fashion school where he got a 'degree'.

The reality TV star further said that he should have directed Priyanka Chopra-Kangana Ranaut's Fashion as he 'seems to be well-aware about fashion'.

Urfi Javed responded to Vivek Agnihotri's tweet, writing, "Mai jaan na chalti hu Aapne kaunse fashion school se apni degree lee Hai? Aapko delh k lagta hai aapko fashion ki kaafi samajh hai , fashion movie aapko direct karni chahiye thi (sic)."

WHAT VIVEK AGNIHOTRI SAID ABOUT AISHWARYA RAI AND COSTUME SLAVES?

The Bollywood filmmaker shared a series of tweets, mentioning that they were not directed towards Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He said that his tweet as he wanted to share his thoughts on 'costume slavery'.

Reacting to a man helping Aishwarya Rai with the costume at the Cannes 2023 red carpet, Vivek said that it was 'stupid'. He called it 'oppressive', saying that it is becoming popular in India with 'almost every female celeb'.

"Have you guys heard of a term called 'Costume Slaves'. They are mostly girls (a suited man in this case). You can see them now in India too with almost every female celeb. Why are we becoming so stupid and oppressive just for such uncomfortable fashion?," the director wrote on the micro-blogging site.

Vivek Agnihotri had shared his views after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan graced the red carpet of Cannes 2023 on Thursday (May 18). The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil made waves at the French Riviera, wearing a stylish oversize white cape and a corset. She opted for a bold look, keeping her tresses open.
