Both maintained a dignified silence over their break-up; however, things got escalated when Varun Sood's sister allegedly said that Divya Agarwal didn't return the 'Khandani jewellery' that was given to her when they were in a relationship.
In a now-deleted tweet, Akshita Sood reportedly alleged that Divya Agarwal never returned the jewellery which she received when she and Varun Sood dated each other. Hitting back at Varun's sister, the Bigg Boss OTT winner posted a tweet on her official Twitter handle along with a picture of the earrings.
She confirmed that she has now returned the jewelley, adding that she sent chocolates along with him. Within a few hours, her tweets and replies to the netizens went viral on the internet.

Divya Agarwal, while responding to a Twitter user, expressed her displeasure after she was asked to return the jewellery a year after they broke-up. She tweeted, "Na kabhi pehna na kabhi maanga. Ek saal baad yaad aaya." Her tweet grabbed eyeballs as fans wondered why the digs were taken a year after their break-up.

Divya Agarwal, who is now in a relationship with Apurva Padgaonkar, hit back at Akshita Sood for her now-deleted tweet. She also slammed the trolls, who posted derogatory tweets about her, accusing her of being a 'gold digger'.
"You know people ? Enough of it.. dragging my father into this trolling for what ?? No I don't want this.. it's not funny not peaceful for me.. I don't feel right about it.. gold digger really ? I'm a super self made woman and no one can take that away," she wrote on the micro-blogging site.
