Vishal Nayak: Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si My First Project

Vishal Nayak plays the role of Hemant Karmarkar in Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si. The show is being produced by Rajan Shahi's Directors Kut Production.

"I think the title of our show Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si is about life. In our daily lives, we have to deal with so many things, our struggles, success, relationships and emotions. At times we get to express and verbalise those thoughts and emotions but at times we just keep it to ourselves. Many thoughts, words are internalised for the greater good of people around us. So the title reflects those emotions, those spoken words which symbolises human emotions," he says.

Speaking of Hemant Karmarkar, who is Vandana's (Sayli Salunkhe) elder brother, he adds, "Hemant is basically a guy next door, who loves his family, and his wife a lot. Being the eldest sibling, Hemant has the aspiration to give better and more materialistic happiness to his family. He was doing a job but due to his aspirations he wanted to be a successful businessman. He tries to dabble in many small start-ups and fails. But he doesn't give up. This creates misunderstanding and discomfort between him and his family. He has a lot to express, voice his opinions about how things should be, but due to his own repeated mistakes and being unsuccessful at his ventures, he gulps down his emotions. But his intentions are always good. He has high hopes from Vandana's career that somewhere she might be able to help him financially."

The conflict between varying emotions within the family which Hemant has to deal with and make it a cohesive atmosphere for everyone to live happily, is something the Vishal connects with. "He wants to make each and every member happy. I also want the same for my family," he says.

The actor feels that the audience will feel the characters, layering and complexities of life which I guess every human being goes through, irrespective of their stature and success. "So the underlying theme of unsaid, unexpressed emotions, which many a times we wish to express to our dear loved ones but refrain at the last moment due to our own complicated thought processes. This is something that happens to all," he adds.

On working with Rajan and his team, he adds, "It's my first project with Rajan Sir and DKP, but they have welcomed me with open hands and heart, with a lot of positivity. The best thing is no matter the position in the company everyone is respectful towards all. There is a strong family bond and happy atmosphere on sets as well, which really helps us to focus and deliver."

Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si seems to blend drama and romance. "Isn't this also reflected in our daily life? I feel life itself is a beautiful blend of drama (where you deal with the real world outside and romance. One should know how to make the best of it. And this makes our show even more special," he adds.

If you have to sum up the show in a hashtag, what would it be? "#lifeislove," he ends.
