When Shweta Tiwari Addressed Her 2 Broken Marriages, Said People Advised Her Not To Get Married Again
Shweta Tiwari: Television actress Shweta Tiwari is undeniably one of the most talented and hottest actresses the present generation has seen. She shot to fame with the Star serial Kasautii Zindagii Kay and became a household name instantly. Apart from her work life, Shweta's personal life has always been under the radar. The actress has suffered a lot in her personal life, especially in relation to her marriage. Shweta has often been criticised for her broken marriage, but the actress never let that affect her.
SHWETA TIWARI ON HER 2 FAILED MARRIAGES
In a interview with Bollywood Bubble last year, Shweta Tiwari discussed her two broken marriages as well as her experience with domestic violence. Speaking to the portal in 2022, Shweta discussed how people came up to her and advised her not to get married for the third time.
She said, "You be in a live-in relationship for 10 years and leave, no one will question you but if you walk out of a marriage after two years, everyone will say, 'How many times will she get married?' People walk up to me to tell me 'Don't get married a third time.' Will I ask them? Who are they? Are they paying for my wedding? This is my decision. This is my life."
She further added, "People on Instagram tell me that I got married twice and my daughter will marry five times. But maybe she won't get married at all. Whatever she has already seen, maybe she won't. Maybe because of what she has seen, she can choose wisely."
SHWETA TIWARI ON EXPERIENCING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Shweta then went on to express that society expects women to remain in the marriage even if the husband is a wife beater. "In a middle-class family, since childhood, you are told to compromise, to adjust. People tell you a one-two slap is nothing. But my mother never said any such thing. They asked 'what will happen to the kids (if she walks out of the marriage)?' But when I first got separated at the age of 27, I realized what can happen because as a kid, seeing your parents fight every day or seeing their father walking in drunk is worse than being brought up by a single parent."
For the uninitiated, Shweta was previously married twice. Her first marriage was with Bhojpuri actor Raja Chaudhary, which ended in divorce in 2007. Shweta's second marriage with Abhinav Kohli too didn't last long, and the couple got divorced in 2019. She has a daughter Palak Tiwari from her first marriage and a son named Reyansh from her second marriage.
