EXCLUSIVE! Yashashri Masurkar On Bond With Manav Gohil, Perfect Chemistry & Dabangii Twist

Dabangii twist: She won hearts with her impressive performance as Khanak in Rang Badalti Odhani, leaving everyone gushing with her sizzling chemistry with Karan Tacker. There's no prize for guessing that we are talking about the one and only Yashashri Masurkar. Our favourite Khanak is back on Indian television with a banger of a show and just like the fans, I couldn't be more excited.

Sony Entertainment Television has launched Dabangii-Mulgi Aayi Re- a hatke show that has the raw Maharashtrian flavour, multi-layered characters and an impressive cast. What better show than Dabangii to make a TV comeback, isn't it?

As I talked with the talented Yashashri Masurkar about her comeback show, she spilled the beans about saying yes to Dabangii, special bond with Manav Gohil and a lot more.

YASHASHRI ON BOND WITH MANAV GOHIL

The viewers love the sweet chemistry between Manav Gohil and Yashashri in Dabangii. The Chandragupta Maurya actress opened up about her bond with the actor, who plays her on-screen husband in the show. She said that she is having a blast while shooting for the show.

"I beamed with joy when I got to know I was working with Manav. I have never worked with him before in any project. I have always had great chemistry on-screen with my heroes but off-screen achi nahi thi. I realised I was working with boys and was a teenager myself. Vo chemistry kabhi ban nahi paayi Today, I am working with a great guy like Manav, who is so mature. I am enjoying the off-screen and on-screen chemistry with him. Humhe jyada mehnat karne ki jarurat hi nhi padi. Bas sab kuch hogya. He was meant to play Ankush and I was meant to essay the role of Bela," she said.

ON PLAYING A MOTHER IN DABANGII

Yashashri spoke about the response that she has received from all corners after everyone saw her performance. "The response has been great. This is the first time I am playing the role of a mother in a show. It has been an amazing experience and I am excited to be back on television. Bachon ke saath shoot karke ek alag hi maza hai," she quipped.

When asked about playing a mother and if she took her own sweet time in accepting the role, she expressed her excitement on doing a different role in her career.

"Of course, I took my sweet time in saying yes to the project. I was making my comeback to television and I wanted to do something that I can resonate with. I realised I hadn't played a character like Bela. Our Hindi shows have goody-goody heroines but Bela is different, who is just like our mothers. Bela is very close to my heart," the actress said.

Dabangii airs on Sony TV from Monday to Friday at 8:30pm. The show also stars Aamir Dalvi and Maahi Bhadra.
