Seen In Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Varun Toorkey QUITS Acting After 13 Years To Become A Chef
Best known for his roles in popular shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Qubool Hai, the popular TV actor has bid goodbye to his 13-year-old acting career.
TV actor Varun Toorkey, who was last seen in Colors TV's Choti Sarrdaarni alongside Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, has spent around 13 years in the entertainment industry. While he made his acting debut with Tina Datta's Uttaran, he featured in various popular shows including Qubool Hai and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
In 2021, his role in Choti Sarrdaarni ended and his fans have been waiting for his acting comeback since then. Looks like, the actor is in no mood to return to acting.
Well, Varun has decided to quit acting to pursue another dream. Well, the talented star is bidding farewell to the entertainment industry to become a chef. Yes, you read that right! He is currently studying at Le Cordon Bleu in New Zealand for the degree of Bachelor of Culinary Arts & Business.

Taking to social media, Varun shared the news with his fans by posting his latest interview with the university. In the caption, he mentioned a quote by well-known author Paulo Coelho. He wrote, "If you're brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello ~ Paulo Coelho"

In the interview, Varun talked about changing his career path after 13 long years and said, "The major chunk of the last 13 years would be me being an actor in the television industry I would say, but cooking, this has always been my love, my passion. I kind of stumbled upon the entertainment industry. And then one thing led to another, and it lasted for that long. But then COVID struck and that really pushed me to re-evaluate things. I finally decided that I should probably take the plunge before it's too late."
Well, his fans are surely going to miss him.
VARUN TOORKEY'S POPULAR TV SHOWS
For the unversed, Varun Toorkey entered Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in 2019 as Naira's (Shivangi Joshi) friend Rishabh who eventually fells in love with her. He was a part of the long-running Star Plus show for a few months after which his character ended due to Kartik and Naira's union.
He's also known for featuring in Surbhi Jyoti's Qubool Hai (Shaad Aftab Khan) and Star Plus' Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein.
