Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai twist: The cat is out of the bag! YRKKH is taking a massive leap and the main cast of the show will bid adieu to the audience. After playing the respective roles of Abhimanyu and Akshara, Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod will make an exit from their hit show. After confirming the new season of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Rajan Shahi and his team shot for the introduction promo of Abhira.

The new storyline will focus on Abhira, who is Akshara and Abhinav's daughter. As Abhimanyu will die in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the plot will be centred around Akshara's daughter named Abhira. While Harshad Chopda will shoot for his last episode on October 30, Pranali Rathod will also leave the daily soap. Preeti Amin will replace Pranali as the new Akshara as the story required the character.

After auditioning several artists, the makers finalised Samridhi Shukla and Shehzada Dhami as the new leads of Yeh Rishta. "The casting team and the creative team liked Samridhi's audition for Yeh Rishta. She suits the bill perfectly for the show and is not overexposed on television just like Shivangi Joshi and Pranali Rathod, when they were roped in for YRKKH. Instead of dragging the storyline further, the makers thought of introducing a leap and hence, Pranali-Harshad will make an exit from the serial. Samridhi's acting chops and her innocence were big factors in bagging her the meaty role in a show like YRKKH" a source exclusively told Filmibeat.

AMI TRIVEDI GETS EMOTIONAL ON HARSHAD CHOPDA-PRANALI RATHOD LEAVING YRKKH

Ami Trivedi opened up about Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod's exit from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The actress, who is seen as Manjri in the serial, said that she is very emotional as she will miss the duo on the sets. She also revealed if she is making an exit from the show after the generation leap.

Ami, while talking to a portal, said that the just the idea of not playing Manjari makes her emotional.

"I am very emotional about Harshad and Pranali making their exit and will miss them as they are very dear to me. I don't know whether I will be making an exit too or not but just the idea of not being Manjari Birla gets me very emotional," Ami Trivedi told Tellychakkar.

Yeh Rishta will feature the entry of Anita Raj, Shruti Rawat, Shruti Ulfat, Preeti Choudhary and others after the leap.
