Shivangi Joshi TV Comeback: Last seen in Colors TV's Balika Vadhu 2 opposite Randeep Rai, actress Shivangi Joshi has finally made her fiction comeback with Bekaboo starring Shalin Bhanot and Eisha Singh in the lead roles.

The TV star, who became a household name after playing the popular character of Naira in Rajan Shahi's long-running Star Plus show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has marked her debut in the supernatural genre with the newly-launched show.

In a recent interview, Shivangi talked about her role in Bekaboo. She stated that she signed the show as her role in interesting and something very different from her previous roles.

While she's counted among the most-loved TV stars, Shivangi also revealed getting rejected for a web show recently for a surprising reason. Well, the actress got rejected because she's a well-known TV star. Yes, you read that right!

SHIVANGI JOSHI ON GETTING REJECTED FOR OTT SHOW

Talking about the same to ETimes, Shivangi stated that numerous television actors are excelling in web and film platforms, which is a source of pride for her as a television actor. However, there are individuals who refuse to consider casting television actors for web shows or movies, citing their high visibility on TV as a hindrance. This recently happened to the actress, where despite receiving praise for her work, she got rejected due to her being a household name on the small screen.

However, according to her, there are also individuals who recognize the hard work and potential of television actors and are keen to work with them.

SHIVANGI JOSHI FELT BAD AFTER GETTING REJECTED

Shivangi further stated that she was hurt after the makers decided against casting her. The actress said, "Yes, of course I felt bad. Being a human it happens with all of us when something which you desperately want and you don't get it, you feel bad. I felt bad but I look at things positively. Agar ye nahi hua toh kuch isse bhi Accha hoga aap ke liye. My mom has taught this."

Well, everything indeed happens for the best as her fans are currently enjoying her stint in Bekaboo.
