He was seen playing the role of Abhinav in the show and managed to leave a mark on the audience. In fact, when Abhinav's track ended on Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Jay Soni exited the show, it left the fans emotional.

Ever since Jay has left the show, fans have been heartbroken and have been demanding his return on the show. For the uninitiated, Jay's character Abhinav died on the show and it left everyone teary eyed. And now that fans are demanding his return to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Jay is overwhelmed with the love coming his way.

During this recent interview with Zoom TV, Jay stated, "Main dekhta hu sab ki 'Bring Abhinav back', 'Abhinav ko le aao', but main kya bolu... somethings are not in our hands but main bht khush ho jata hu ki jo pyaar hai aapka wo abhi bhi hai. While Jay Soni isn't returning to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai anytime soon, the show will reportedly be having a 20-year leap and a change in plot. In fact, there are reports about Harshad and Pranali, who play the lead in the show, will be quitting Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai post leap.

However, a source had exclusively told Filmibeat that Harshad is not leaving the show anytime soon. The source stated, "The rumours are baseless. Why will a star leave such a hit show? People are thinking too much. The creative team has planned special twists and turns for the show and fans will enjoy the upcoming track".
