Amid the hullabaloo over the leap, Saas Bahu Aur Betiyan suggested that Shaheer Sheikh or Karan Kundrra might replace Harshad Chopda as the male lead.

The rumour spread like wildfire on the internet, making the fans wonder if the two actors will enter the hit Star Plus show.

SHAHEER SHEIKH IS NOT PLAYING ABHIR IN YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI

Filmibeat had debunked the rumours about Shaheer entering YRKKH after the generation leap. The Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi actor is currently busy with the shoot of his new film in Uttarakhand.

"The rumours about Shaheer Sheikh being a part of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai are fake. Shaheer is busy with Netflix's upcoming project with Kriti Sanon. He is not doing fiction shows or television at the moment. While he shares a great bond with Rajan Shahi, the speculations about him being approached for YRKKH are false," our khabri said.

WILL KARAN KUNDRRA PLAY LEAD IN YRKKH?

Karan Kundrra's name was also mentioned; however, we squashed the rumour in an exclusive report.

"No, Mr Kundrra is not doing YRKKH. "Why will he do a show which he already did two years back? He was a part of Yeh Rishta when Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi played the lead roles. Please don't believe the rumours," our source laughed off the rumours.

WHY KARAN KUNDRRA-SHAHEER SHEIKH CANNOT REPLACE HARSHAD CHOPDA?

"Karan was a part of Yeh Rishta when Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan played the leads. He played the third angle in Kartik and Sirat's relationship. He won hearts with his performance as Ranveer in the show. Repeating him in the same show means the audience won't be able to strike a chord with his character. Anyways, he is busy with Thank You For Coming promotions and a yet-to-be-titled project," an industry source said.

"Shaheer Sheikh already played the lead in the spin-off of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. He was loved as Abir in Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke and it would be illogical to see him as the new lead in YRKKH," the source added.
