Currently featuring Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod as Abhimanyu and Akshara respectively, the family drama is set to witness several major changes in the coming months.

From the past few weeks, there have been speculations about Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai taking another generation leap after which Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod are likely to quit the superhit show. In a recent interview, YRKKH producer Rajan Shahi finally confirmed that the show's new season is indeed happening and senior actress Anita Raj has been roped in to essay an important role in it after the impending time jump.

As expected, the development has left Harshad and Pranali's fans angry as the duo is now all set to exit Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai due to the leap and a new pair will replace them. Now that their exit is official, AbhiRa shippers are wondering who will replace them in the show after leap.

According to the ongoing reports, the makers have approached several well-known names to essay the lead roles in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai after the 20-year-leap which is likely to take next month.

CELEBRITIES APPROACHED TO REPLACE HARSHAD-PRANALI IN YRRKH

For the female lead's part, there are speculations that popular names like Jannat Zubair, Helly Shah, Tejasswi Prakash, and Eisha Singh have received offers. There was a strong buzz about Mahima Makwana too being considered, however, the actress denied the rumours and cleared that the makers haven't approached her.

On the other hand, Imlie and Dharampatnii star Fahmaan Khan have been reportedly in talks with the YRKKH team to play the new hero after Harshad Chopda's exit. In an interview, the actor confirmed being approached for the show but added that things aren't yet finalised. It looks like the makers are taking their own sweet time to sign the new lead couple.
