Rajan Shahi's long-running Star Plus show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has entertained fans since its premiere in 2009. Back then, the family drama was launched with Hina Khan and Karan Mehra in the lead roles of Akshara and Naitik respectively.

However, since 2021, the show has been focusing on the third generation and actors Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod are currently playing the protagonists Abhimanyu and Akshara respectively.

To make Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai more interesting and entertaining for viewers, the makers introduced a 5-year-leap last month after which the lead duo was seen separated once again. As per the ongoing track, Akshara has returned to Udaipur to meet her family for the first time after the leap with her husband Abhinav (Jay Soni) and son Abhir.

While the loyal viewers were expecting the reunion of Akshara with Abhimanyu, he has announced his wedding with Aarohi leaving AbhiRa fans shattered. Well, the wedding track has left fans disappointed who are expressing their displeasure clearly on social media.

SUREKHA GOENKA TO MAKE RE-ENTRY IN GOENKA HOUSE

Amid all this, the latest buzz suggested that Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will soon witness the re-entry of an old character. Well, we're talking about the character of Kartik (Mohsin Khan) and Naira's (Shivangi Joshi) chachi Surekha Goenka. Yes, you read that right!

The character played a pivotal role in the storyline since 2021 before Shilpa Raizada quit the show. After two years, Surekha will return to the Goenka house and will play a crucial part in the coming tracks.

As Shilpa left Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in 2021, the makers have roped in actress Sai Barve to essay the character of Surekha in the much-loved show. Yes, you read that right! For the unversed, Sai played an important role in Vijayendra Kumeria, Richa Rathore, and Narayani Shastri's Star Plus show Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha.
