As the family drama approaches its 15th anniversary next month, it has been making waves following the announcement of a fourth-generation leap.

YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI LEAP & NEW CAST

For those not in the know, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai experienced another generational leap, resulting in Shehzada Dhami and Samridhii Shukla taking over as the new main leads, replacing Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod. With the introduction of the new cast just a few weeks ago, the long-running Star Plus show has been receiving a mixed response, as anticipated.

However, the new heroine Samridhi Shukla is focusing on her work and is hoping that the viewers will eventually accept the new cast. Interestingly, the actress shot for a promo with the show's former lead Pranali Rathod recently. In a recent interview, she opened up about her meeting with everyone's beloved Akshara.

Talking to India Forums about the same, Samridhi stated, "We didn't speak much about the show, honestly. Because I can understand, for whatever reasons, it can be a very sensitive factor when you're living a life (onscreen). Because I know I've lived that life before and whatever the reason is when you leave a show you feel very heavy-hearted. Toh, I was very sensitive towards her, I was like 'Are you okay?' Because it's a new journey for me, I might be very excited but you (Pranali) might be (feeling) mixed. I mean, you might be happy about new things coming but you might also be sad that this journey is coming to an end. But, she's a lovely person and we did speak on a lot of other things. I really liked her vibe and she's a very sweet girl. I've heard so many things about her and it was good to finally meet her and experience all that. She's more than I've heard of. So, it's really nice and I really liked her."
