Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai twist: Rajan Shahi's show has remained in the headlines ever since it took a generation leap. Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod's exit from the serial left the ardent viewers upset as they believed their respective characters have much potential to explore.

As Harshad and Pranali exited, Shehzada Dhami and Samridhii Shukla took over the charge from them and played the new leads in YRKKH. After a slow start, the TRPs of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai witnessed an increase in week 49. According to the latest BARC TRP ratings, YRKKH saw a rise and garnered a TVR of 1.9, becoming the slot leader.

Fans have been quite vocal about Harshad and Pranali's characters ending in the serial. While Abhimanyu was assumed to be dead, Preeti Amin stepped into Pranali Rathod's shoes and played the older Akshara. Akshara has also died in the show, leading to Abhira and Armaan's marriage.

Replacing a stalwart like Harshad Chopda is not an easy task. He is one of the few actors in the Indian television industry, who has impressed the audience in all his roles. Be it Yeh Rishta, Tere Liye or Bepannaah, the TV heartthrob has always managed to woo the fans with his acting prowess.

Fans have been comparing Shehzada Dhami with Harshad Chopda ever since the makers introduced the fourth-generation leap. Shehzada, who plays the role of Armaan Poddar, opened up about the fan comparison with Harshad Chopda while talking to a leading daily.

The Choti Sarrdaarni actor said that actors, who featured in the previous seasons, did a great job. He told Times Of India, "I am just carrying forward the legacy."

Shehzada added that there would be comparisons but he doesn't see any point talking about the pressure and if the new cast can prove themselves.
