Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: 2 Yrs After Quitting, THIS Actress Was Approached To Re-Enter But She Said NO

Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, produced by Rajan Shahi, has been faring very well on the TRP charts. While the current track is receiving a mixed response from AbhiRa fans, the family drama is still among the top-rated shows across channels.

The viewers must be aware that Abhimanyu and Akshara got separated after Neil's (Paras Priyadarshan) death after which the show witnessed a leap of five years. While Akshara (Pranali Rathod) is shown being married to Abhinav (Jay Soni), Abhimanyu (Harshad Chopda) has announced his wedding with Aarohi (Karishma Sawant).

In the coming episodes, the makers have planned several interesting twists and turns as Abhimanyu and Aarohi's wedding festivities will begin soon and Akshara's on Abhir will force her to attend their engagement.

RE-ENTRY OF SUREKHA GOENKA IN YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI

Amid all this, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will soon witness the entry of Surekha Goenka aka Surekha Chachi. Shilpa Raizada played the pivotal role in the long-running show for five years before quitting in 2021.

After two years, the character is returning and will play an important role in the ongoing track. As reported earlier, actress Sai Barve has been confirmed to enter as Surekha Goenka in the coming episodes.

SHILPA RAIZADA REJECTED YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI AGAIN

However, did you know that the YRKKH team had initially approached Shilpa Raizada to make her re-entry as Surekha? Yes, you read that right! Before signing Sai, the makers had reached out to Shilpa but she refused the offer.

Revealing the same, Shilpa told India Forums, "Well, I was approached for the show but I had to put down the offer as I've played the character for five long years. I believe, I played the best version of Surekha already."

While fans are surely going to miss Shilpa, we're sure that Sai too will do a great job as Surekha in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Well, we're excited about Abhimanyu and Aarohi's wedding track. What about you?
