However, this is just the chatter around the sets. The makers are busy finalising the leads after the time jump. Will Pranali play her own look-alike daughter in Yeh Rishta? There's a slight chance that she might if the creative team is convinced with the storyline. Harshad Chopda's exit is said to be almost confirmed while there's no confirmation over the new track focusing on Akshara's baby," a source told Filmibeat.

Some media reports have claimed that Akshara will also meet with a tragic end in the serial.

Gossip mills suggested that the production house has approached Eisha Singh to play the new female lead after the leap. It was said that Eisha would replace Pranali Rathod and essay the role of new lead in YRKKH.
