This is the question on everyone's mind ever since it was speculated that YRKKH will take a generation leap. Following the footsteps of Imlie, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Pandya Store and Yeh Hai Chahatein, Rajan Shahi and his team are also set to take a big time jump in the show.

RANDEEP RAI TO BE A PART OF YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI?

While Fahmaan Khan and Tejasswi Prakash's names were mentioned as new leads of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Filmibeat squashed the rumours."Rajan Shahi is known for giving opportunities to fresh faces like Hina Khan, Shivangi Joshi and Pranali Rathod. He must have chalked out a proper plan for Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, if it is taking a leap. While the production house would love to work with Tejasswi and Fahmaan, I think new faces will be auditioned for the lead roles. There's no doubt that Fahmaan Khan and Tejasswi Prakash are wonderful actors, who bring their own fan following but I think the chances of them featuring in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai are bleak," a source told Filmibeat.

Gossip mills suggested that Yeh Unn Dino Ki Baat Hai fame Randeep has also been offered the show. The Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 star is yet to audition for the role.

"Randeep Rai's name has been discussed on the table but nothing has been confirmed. The production house is busy auditioning the actors for the episodes after the leap in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Randeep is yet to give an audition or do a mock shoot for YRKKH but yes, he is in contention to play the male lead. Things will be clear in the upcoming days," our khabri quipped.

WILL PRANALI RATHOD CONTINUE WITH YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI?

There's a buzz that Pranali Rathod might be retained in the show following the leap. "We have heard that the makers might retain Pranali in YRKKH after the leap is introduced. However, this is just the chatter around the sets. The makers are busy finalising the leads after the time jump. Will Pranali play her own look-alike daughter in Yeh Rishta? There's a slight chance that she might if the creative team is convinced with the storyline. Harshad Chopda's exit is said to be almost confirmed while there's no confirmation over the new track focusing on Akshara's baby," a source told Filmibeat.

It remains to be what will happen when the leap is incorporated in the track in October end or November start.
