The eyes are teary on the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as the cast is busy shooting for their last episode before the generation leap is incorporated into the storyline. Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod's hit serial is taking a big time jump from next month and the main cast members will bid adieu.

HARSHAD CHOPDA, PRANALI RATHOD LEAVE YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI

Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod, who entered the show after the third generation leap, will be wrapping up the shoot this month and pave the way for the new generation. After weeks of speculation, it has been confirmed that the duo will be making an exit from YRKKH. Shehzada Dhami and Samridhi Shukla have been announced as the new leads of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

"The casting team and the creative team liked Samridhi's audition for Yeh Rishta. She suits the bill perfectly for the show and is not overexposed on television just like Shivangi Joshi and Pranali Rathod, when they were roped in for YRKKH. Instead of dragging the storyline further, the makers thought of introducing a leap and hence, Pranali-Harshad will make an exit from the serial. Samridhi's acting chops and her innocence were big factors in bagging her the meaty role in a show like YRKKH" a source exclusively told Filmibeat.

Karishma Sawant, who plays the role of Arohi in YRKKH, has shot for her last episode. The actress got emotional on the last day of the shoot. Confirming her exit from the popular daily soap, she told a portral how the cast got teary-eyed while shooting for the last sequence in the show.

"Well, I did not expect it to be emotional. I thought I would be fine, but I did end up getting emotional. Not only was I going to miss the offscreen bond, but also the characters," Karishma Sawant told IWMBuzz. She mentioned that she would miss the characters of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, calling her co-stars her family.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai leap episodes will be available for viewing from November 6, 2023 on Star Plus. Preeti Amin will step into Pranali Rathod's shoes and play the older Akshara in the show, which is produced by Rajan Shahi.
