Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai twist: YRKKH has been making waves ever since Star Plus and Rajan Shahi officially announced the new season. After two months of speculation, it has been confirmed that Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopda will make an exit from the serial. The two celebrities have shot for their final sequence in the hit show after being a part of it for two long years.

YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI NEW LEADS

After auditioning several actors, the production house finalised Samridhii Shukla and Shehzada Dhami as the new leads of YRKKH. Samridhi shot to fame after playing the main role in Saavi Ki Savaaro opposite Fahmaan Haider. After the show went off air, she immediately bagged Yeh Rishta, which will complete fifteen years in January 2024.

"The casting team and the creative team liked Samridhi's audition for Yeh Rishta. She suits the bill perfectly for the show and is not overexposed on television just like Shivangi Joshi and Pranali Rathod, when they were roped in for YRKKH. Instead of dragging the storyline further, the makers thought of introducing a leap and hence, Pranali-Harshad will make an exit from the serial. Samridhi's acting chops and her innocence were big factors in bagging her the meaty role in a show like YRKKH" a source exclusively told Filmibeat.

Samridhi and Shehzada will be joined by Anita Raj, Shruti Ulfat, Shruti Rawat, Preeti Choudhary and other artists. The new cast will be unveiled on November 6, 2023.

WILL PRANALI RATHOD INTRODUCE ABHIRA AKA SAMRIDHI SHUKLA?

The cast and crew have jetted off to Mahabaleshwar to shoot for the upcoming track of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The artists will be shooting crucial scenes in the hill station as the leap episodes will air from next week on Star Plus.

According to a report in India Forums, Pranali Rathod might join Samridhi and the new cast in Mahabaleshwar. Will she introduce Samridhii Shukla as the new lead of YRKKH? The report suggested that Pranali aka Akshara will travel to Mahabaleshwar in a day or two. It is not confirmed whether it is for a promo shoot or for the new episodes of the serial.

Preeti Amin, who was last seen in Adnan Khan and Aditi Sharma starrer Katha Ankahee, will replace Pranali as the older Akshara. While Pranali will bid adieu to the show, Preeti will take over the charge.
