Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai News: After Bidaai, Rajan Shahi teamed up with Star Plus once again in 2009 and came up with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starring Hina Khan and Karan Mehra. In the last 14 years, the family witnessed several changes including multiple leaps and it currently focuses on the third generation.

Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod entered Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as the new protagonists Abhimanyu and Akshara respectively in 2021 after the leap and have been winning everyone's hearts since then. While the current storyline focuses on Akshara's life after Abhiman's (Jay Soni) death.

CELEBS WHO REJECTED AKSHARA'S ROLE BEFORE PRANALI RATHOD

Anushka Sen

Anushka Sen, who started her career as a child artist, has come a long way in her career in showbiz. According to a report in Prabhat Khabar, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai team had approached her to play Akshara after the leap. But, she felt that she won't fit the role and rejected it.

Jannat Zubair

Seen in show like Tu Aashiqui and Khatron Ke Khiladi, TV star and social media influencer Jannat Zubair to has bagged the offer to play the lead role in YRKKH. However, she said 'no' to it as the talented actress was eyeing to be a part of some other project back then.

Reem Shaikh

Seen in several popular TV shows like Tujhse Hai Raabta, Fanaa - Ishq Mein Marjawan, and Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal, Reem Shaikh was also considered to play Akshara. However, she reportedly turned it down.

Helly Shah

Best known for playing the lead roles in Swaragini and Ishq Mein Marjawan 2, Helly Shah was among the choices to play Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. However, she rejected the offer due to her other projects.

Adaa Khan

Naagin's Shesha, Adaa Khan was also approached for the lead role in Rajan Shahi's superhit drama. Sadly, she reportedly had to turn it down due to her other professional commitments.

At last, Pranali Rathod was roped in for Akshara's part which made her a household name.
