Pranali Rathod News: Rajan Shahi's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai premiered on Star Plus in 2009 with Hina Khan and Karan Mehra and has turned out to be one of the longest-running shows in the history of Indian Television.

The duo played the iconic characters of Akshara and Naitik respectively for around eight years before finally quitting the hit family drama. Later, the makers roped in Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan as the new lead pair. They essayed the popular characters of Naira and Kartik respectively and their pairing proved to be an instant hit among viewers.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai continued to fetch great numbers after Shivangi and Mohsin's entries and they a part of the show till 2021. After the generation leap, Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopda entered the show as new leads and are currently winning hearts as Akshara and Abhimanyu.

While fans were skeptical about the generation leap, the show continued doing wonders on the TRP front and is still among the highest-rated daily soaps across channels.

PRANALI RATHOD ON REPLACING SHIVANGI JOSHI AS NEW LEAD

In a recent interview, Pranali Rathod opened up about replacing Shivangi Joshi as the new female lead and the pressure of proving themselves. Well, the who cast and crew has been successful in making a mark.

Talking about the initial pressure, Pranali told ETimes, "I don't know about pressure but I was a little scared and nervous. I did not take pressure because we are a team and we all have equally worked hard. We made sure we will make this work and because of the teamwork and everyone's passion, it has worked, people loved and accepted us."

PRANALI RATHOD'S JOURNEY IN SHOWBIZ

For the unversed, Pranali Rathod made her TV debut with &TV's Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki as Suman opposite Kinshuk Vaidya. Later, she played a negative role in Colors TV's Barrister Babu and was also seen as Radha in Sony TV show Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye.

However, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai proved to be a turning point in her career and made her a household name.
