Zohaib Siddiqui Walks An Extra Mile For His Role In Imlie

Actor Zohaib Siddiqui has recently brought a double dose of drama and entertainment with his entry in the Star Plus show Imile. He will be seen playing the character of 'Dhariya', whose presence will affect Imlie and Atharva's lives. Interestingly, Zohaib is walking an extra mile for his role in Imlie as he will be learning the Haryanvi language to play his character which is getting the fans intrigued.

Talking about his role in the popular family drama, Zohaib says, "The role I am playing in the show is of a Jaat, Haryanvi boy, so I had to learn Haryanvi to portray my character. I do believe that one of the most important characteristics of any character is to master its lingo and mannerism so that it sounds believable to the viewers. I wasn't that much familiar with the language, but I have a few Haryanvi friends who helped me a lot to learn this language. I interacted with them and caught the words they use in normal conversation. I started by learning words like 'Mane', 'Tane,' and 'Ke haal sae?' and many more."

Explaining his point further, Zohaib further mentioned, "You know, the main thing about the Haryanvi language isn't the words, but it's about the accent and dialect. It was a bit challenging initially to catch the right tonality, pronunciation and accent, but I am glad that I learnt it. I am still learning new words and enjoying the process."

To note, apart from Imlie, Zohaib is known for his stint in several popular shows like Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, Sadda Haq, Radha Krishna, Suryaputra Karn, Karmaphal Daata Shani etc. Well, are you excited about seeing the handsome hunk in a new avatar in Imlie which also stars Seerat Kapoor, Megha Chakraborty and Karan Vohra in key roles?
