Anjali Arora To Play Sita In Shri Ramayan Katha: Remember the Kacha Badam girl Anjali Arora? The diva became an internet sensation with her viral videos and later became a household name with her stint in Kangana Ranaut's Lock Upp. She had undoubtedly won millions of hearts with her personality and strong game. And now, Anjali is all set to make her big screen debut with Abhishek Singh's Shri Ramayan Katha.

According to media reports, Anjali will be seen playing the role of Goddess Sita and the news has got everyone brimming with an opinion. Recently in an interview with ETimes TV, Anjali opened up about playing Goddess Sita and revealed how she got the role. The actress said that she feels blessed to have been finalised for the role.

"The character of Goddess Sita is so sacred that no one can refuse it. Curious about why the director chose me, I asked him, and he said he had shortlisted a few actresses, including me. I believe they saw something in me that convinced them I could do justice to the character. I was finalised last month, and since then, I have been watching videos, doing readings, and attending workshops. I will give my best to do justice to the character," she added.

Interestingly, the news of Anjali playing Sita in a film came at a time when Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi have been shooting for Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. Needless to say, the comparisons are bound to happen between both the movies along with previous projects on the mythological drama. Talking about the comparisons, Anjali stated that she is well aware of them and is a little hesitant as well. However, she will be happy to be compared to a Bollywood actress.
