Sharing his views about the same, Rohit Bakshi said, "I believe in a very strong principle: think before you speak. That's very important, whether you're a public figure or not."
"Having clarity in your mind is crucial because the mind and tongue are connected. Some people speak without thinking and end up hurting others or saying nonsense. If you think before you speak, you can avoid a lot of criticism and negativity," he added.
He also mentioned that professional networking and relationships are quite important in the entertainment industry. He said, "A lot of people say to keep networking and doing PR activities throughout the year. I've done that too. People used to guide me, saying it's very important to network, attend parties, and meet people."
"I did that, but honestly, it's important to be in touch and make some good relationships. Out of ten meetings, at least two might turn into valuable connections. So, I believe it's important to a certain extent, but it's not the only criterion for getting work," he added.
The entertainment industry is quite competitive, and Rohit feels that because of social media, people often feel insecure seeing others taking vacations or doing various activities. "There's always pressure: this person is doing a show; that person is doing a film. But personally, I have never felt pressure in my life. I move at my own pace. I've been here for a very long time, and I understood at a very early stage that taking pressure would only harm you. It won't take care of you," he said.
"By the end of it, even if you're surrounded by friends and family, you are the only person who can pick yourself up during down times. So, I feel it's useless to put pressure on Just go with the flow, enjoy the process, live your life, and be happy. That's the most important thing," he added.
He also stressed that it's important to attend workshops and keep the learning curve going if one wants to continue working in the industry. "I'm more of a spontaneous kind of person than a method actor. On television, we often get the script just before the shoot, so we don't have much time to prepare," he said.
"For movies, you get a bound script, and you can plan, think, and discuss with the director and producer. Otherwise, I don't do anything specific because I believe in spontaneity rather than delving too deep into things," Rohit ended.
