Anupamaa twist: Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna's show has remained in the headlines ever since the makers introduced the separation angle. Last year, Maya wreaked havoc in the lives of Anupama and Anuj. This year is different as MaAn got split because of misunderstandings.

At a time when daily soaps go off air within six months, Anupamaa has entertained the viewers for over three years. Rajan Shahi and his team have captured the attention of the netizens with the drama-packed episodes.

Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna's sizzling chemistry, Sudhansu Pandey's impressive performance as Vanraj and the team efforts have played a big role in the success of Anupamaa. Despite completion from Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the daily soap has remained at the number one position.

The show, which is the Hindi remake of Sreemoyee, bagged the numero uno spot with a TRP of 2.3 in week 13. Other shows at the 10pm slot have failed to connect with the audience. Pracchand Ashok being a prime example.

There are rumours that Anuj Kapadia might die in the upcoming episodes. However, there's no truth to the rumours. It was said that the makers might shock the audience and add a new twist to increase the TRPs.

ANUPAMAA ACTOR ON GETTING TROLLED AND ABUSED

When an actor joins an existing show and plays an important part in the love triangle, he/she gets trolled for her character. At times, fans are unable to understand the difference between reel life and real life. While majority of the fans love showering their favourite characters with love, a few cross the line and attack the new actor.

Last year, Chhavi Pandey was brutally trolled for playing the role of Maya in Anupamaa. When Sukriti Kandpal entered the serial, fans expressed their displeasure and made comments about her character Shruti. While constructive criticism is welcomed, one cannot attack the celebrity.

Reacting to the abuse and trolling by MaAn fans, Vaqaur Shaikh said that as long as they watch the show and contribute to the viewership, it doesn't matter. The veteran actor is unperturbed by the trolling. He has enjoyed a long career in the industry and believes that such things don't matter as long as the show is doing well.

"If the fan abuses, it is fine as long as you watch," Vaqaur told TellyExpress. The Heena actor shared his thoughts about the online trolling in an interaction on the set.
