Sudhanshu Pandey took the hard decision to quit the show after four years because of his schedule and the lack of growth in Vanraj's character. The actor gave his best to the show and the character for four years but there was nothing much left to explore in Vanraj.

We have heard that Shivam Khajuria has been approached for a meaty role in Anupamaa serial as the creative team has planned a massive twist. Contrary to the rumours, he is not playing the lead role in Rajan Shahi's next show. Star Plus has put a few shows, including Rajan's upcoming daily soap, on hold. Shivam is expected to join Anupama."
