Anupamaa New Entry: Sumbul Touqeer's Co-star On Her Bond With Rupali Ganguly, Show's TWIST

Anupamaa twist: At a time when many daily soaps have struggled to strike a chord with the audience, Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna's show has managed to retain the viewership. After a drop in numbers following Samar's death track, the makers introduced a leap to spice up the drama.

ANUPAMAA CAST AFTER LEAP

The creative team added a new twist in tale when they incorporated leap in the storyline. While Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin pushed Anupamaa to the number two spot for a few weeks, the daily soap starring Rupali Ganguly in a lead role bounced back, courtesy of the USA track.

After the leap was introduced, Aurra Bhatnagar entered the show as teenager Choti Anu. The likes of Sukriti Kandpal and Vaquar Sheikh also joined the show in key roles.

ANUPAMAA NEW ENTRY

Parakh Madan, who is the new entrant in Anupamaa, opened about the show's twist. She also spoke about working with Rupali Ganguly.

Parakh, who was earlier seen in Sumbul Touqeer and Mishkat Varma starrer Kavya Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon, said that she relates to her character. The actress is playing the role of a classical dancer in the serial. She has a connection with Diya as Parakh is also a dancer in real life.

The Qurbaan Hua actress shared the audience's feedback, revealing how her best scene was a dance duet with Rupali Ganguly. Expressing her happiness on working with Rupali, she said that she has been busy fangirling over her ever since the serial started airing on Star Plus.

"I have been fangirling over Rupali ji since the show began, and to share screen space with her, and do what I love most was very special to me," she told IWMBuzz.
