Rupali Ganguly’s Anupamaa Co-Star Reveals Getting Finalised For Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai First; Check DEETS

Starring Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna as Anupama and Anuj Kapadia, respectively, this family drama consistently entertains loyal viewers and performs well on the TRP charts.

Known for introducing frequent twists and turns to maintain viewer engagement, the creative team of Anupamaa recently introduced a five-year leap in the storyline. After the leap, Anupama is now living alone. Motivated by a job opportunity in America, she embarked on a journey to pursue her dreams in the United States and is currently going through a rough patch.

CHANDNI BHAGWANANI ON WORKING WITH RAJAN SHAHI

Chandni Bhagwanani entered Anupamaa and replaced Muskan Bamne to portray the new Pakhi in the top-rated Star Plus show. While Muskan left the family drama as she wasn't comfortable in playing a mother on-screen, Chandni is getting a favourable response from the loyal viewers for her performance as Pakhi.

Amidst these developments, Chandni Bhagwani has revealed that she got finalised for Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai before bagging Pakhi's role in Anupamaa. In a recent interview, she opened up about working with Rajan Shahi's production house and how the team had offered her several roles in the past.

Revealing the same to Bollywood Life, Chandni stated, "I was finalised for Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai when the Cape Town scenes were being done. But it was a hit and miss. Everything was finalised but at the last moment things didn't work out. Later, again Rajan sir called me for another character in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai but again it did not work. Further, he tried to cast in every time something came up in his shows. But things did not work out again and again. It is said that producers usually repeat their actors but I was not even a part of any of their shows but they have called me every time when they had a new character in their shows. They have called me for every single show that they do. But interestingly, such things happen when you have worked with that team but this was only on the basis of my auditions and mock shoots. However, things have finally worked out."
