Anupamaa twist: Sudhanshu Pandey has been hogging all the limelight ever since he announced his departure from Anupamaa. His exit from the Star Plus daily soap has become the talk of the town as he played the important role of Vanraj. In a major development, he quit the show after playing the main character for four long years.

Sudhanshu Pandey conducted an interactive Instagram live session to confirm his exit from Anupamaa. He expressed his gratitude towards the audience for their love and support and also, apologised to them for the 'sudden decision'.

A source close to the show exclusively told Filmibeat, "There's a lot of chatter about the leap twist in Anupamaa. While the channel and the production house have been secretive about the same, gossip mills suggest a different story. Sudhanshu Pandey took the hard decision to quit the show after four years because of his schedule and the lack of growth in Vanraj's character. The actor gave his best to the show and the character for four years but there was nothing much left to explore in Vanraj."

Will Sudhanshu Pandey (Vanraj) ever return to Anupamaa in the future? Considering the comeback of popular actors like Smriti Irani to their hit shows, fans are wondering if Sudhanshu would make a comeback if the makers plan a suitable track for him. Well, the Veera actor has an answer for the question.

The handsome hunk made it clear that it won't happen. "I don't think that's going to happen. When you decide to move on, looking back can cause you to stumble," Sudhanshu told Times Of India. He added that once he decides to move on in life, he sticks to his decision.

Anupamaa stars Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna in lead roles. Sudhanshu was seen as Rupali Ganguly's former on-screen husband, who berated her and had an extra-marital affair with Kavya. Anupamaa, which is the Hindi remake of Bengali show Sreemoyee, airs every day at 10pm on Star Plus.
