BARC TRP Report Week 1: Anupamaa, Bigg Boss 17, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai- Which Show Topped List?

TRP of Hindi serials: It's a brand new Thursday and time for our special TRP Report. The BARC TRP ratings for week 1 of 2024 will be released in a few hours. TV buffs are eagerly waiting to know the ratings of Anupamaa, Bigg Boss 17, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Mera Balam Thanedaar, Shrimad Ramayan and other serials.

The first week of 2024 brought cheers for a few shows while others witnessed drop in their viewership. Grab a bowl of popcorn to know which show topped the charts. Don't miss the performance of the leading GECs.

CHANNEL WAR

Star Plus is on a roll these days. Barring a week, the channel dominated prime time with maximum shows in the list of top ten shows. Anupamaa, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Imlie, Pandya Store continued to perform well for the channel. The ITA Awards 2023 also performed well in terms of numbers.

Colors channel's Parineetii and Shiv Shakti-Tap Tyaag Tandav garnered decent numbers for the number two GEC. Bigg Boss 16 has failed to secure a spot in the list of top Hindi shows in recent weeks.

SHRIMAD RAMAYAN TRP: SONY TV SHOW TO OPEN WELL

Considering the buzz and online traction, Srimad Ramayan is expected to open on a positive note in terms of TRP. The first week numbers of the one-hour show will be unveiled in the BARC TRP ratings.

Sony TV's Ramayan stars Sujay Reu, Prachi Bansal, Nirbhat Wadhwa, Nikitin Dheer in the respective roles of Lord Rama, Sita, Lord Hanuman and Ravana. The show has received praise for its story-telling, impeccable performances of the lead artists and visual presentation.

Mera Balam Thanedaa, which was launched on Janaury 3 on Colors channel, registered decent numbers. The drama replaced Chand Jalne Laga, which has been shunted to the 6pm slot to make way for the newest launch on Colors TV.

TOP 10 SHOWS LIST

Anupamaa, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin continued to rake in good numbers. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, which is one of the longest-running sitcoms in India, also garnered a good response from the audience.
