TRP Report Week 17: Anupamaa, Jhanak Are Stable, YRKKH Drops, Mangal Lakshmi Beats Parineetii- Top 10 Shows

TRP of Hindi serials: The BARC TRP ratings for week 17 were released a day later on account of Labour Day holiday in Maharashtra. This week has witnessed quite a few changes in the ranking of your favourite TV shows like Anupamaa, Jhanak, Udne Ki Aasha, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Mangal Lakshmi.

CHANNEL WAR

Star Plus continued to rule the roost with maximum daily soaps in top 10 shows list. Anupama, Jhanal, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Imlie, Udne Ki Aasha grabbed decent numbers in week 17. Anupama and Jhanak were the only two shows to gain a TVR of 2 in the current week. Other shows witnessed a drop.

Colors channel had two shows in the list as Shiv Shakti-Tap Tyaag Tandav and Mangal Lakshmi secured spots in the list. Parineeti couldn't fetch impressive ratings to get a spot in the list.

Sony SAB's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Zee TV's Kundali Bhagya also bagged positions in the coveted list. No shows from Sony Entertainment Television featured in the list of top rated Hindi serials.

LAKSHMI NARAYAN TRP IN FIRST WEEK

Colors TV's newly launched show Lakshmi Narayan failed to strike a chord with the audience despite massive promotions. "The competition from IPL 2024 affected the ratings of the show but the channel is confident that it will pick pace in the upcoming weeks," a source exclusively told Filmibeat when we asked about the low TRPs of Lakshmi Narayan.

If we compare the first week TRPs, Shrimad Ramayan performed better than Lakshmi Narayan. However, we have to take into account the reach, IPL 2024, time slot and competition while analysing the performance of the two shows that air at different timings on rival channels.

TRP OF HINDI SHOWS, TOP 10 SHOWS LIST: ANUPAMAA IS NUMBER ONE

Anupamaa topped the TRP charts followed by Jhanak. Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin took the third position while Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was placed at the fourth spot. Imlie and Shiv Shakti fetched similar ratings but Imlie was ahead by a whisker and hence, took the fifth position.
