CHANNEL WAR: WHICH IS THE NUMBER 1 HINDI CHANNEL IN INDIA?

Star Plus continued to dominate as it had the maximum shows in the list of top-rated shows. The leading GEC has been performing well in terms of numbers, keeping the audience engaged with its regular twists and turns. Anupamaa, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai continued to rake in solid numbers for the channel.

Colors channel witnessed a drop in numbers after the culmination of Bigg Boss 17. While the finale episode fetched amazing ratings, the channel suffered a massive drop in numbers as the fiction shows couldn't retain their viewership.

Sony SAB's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah also secured a spot in the coveted list.

TRP OF COLORS TV SHOWS

Chand Jalne Laga, Suhagaan, Udaariyaan, Parineetii, Shiv Shakti-Tap Tyaag Tandav, Neerja, Doree, Mera Balam Thanedaar dropped in week 5.

Qayaamat Se Qayaamat Tak, which replaced Bigg Boss 17, failed to generate a huge response. It started with an average TRP of 0.8 for its first week. Compared to BB 17, the fiction show is not doing that great.

BIGG BOSS 17 FINALE

According to Gossip TV, Bigg Boss 17 grand finale fetched a TRP of 3.1. The reality show dethroned Anupamaa from the numero uno position in the current week. Just like Bigg Boss 16, Bigg Boss season 17 also ended on a blockbuster note.

TRP OF STAR PLUS SHOWS

Jhanak witnessed a big increase in the current week as it fetched a rating of 2.3. Bigg Boss 17's end has helped the late night shows to gain more TRPs. Anupamaa, Jhanak, Yeh Hai Chahatein increased after BB 17 went off air.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin garnered a TVR of 2.6 while Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai received an average rating of 2.4 in week 5.
