CHANNEL WAR

Star Plus is the clear leader here as it has eight daily soaps in the list of top ten shows. Yes, you read that right! Anupamaa, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Imlie, Pandya Store, Teri Meri Dooriyaann, Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si featured in the list of top-rated shows in the current week.

Colors channel secured the second position while Sony SAB bagged the third spot. Shiv Shakti-Tap Tyaag Tandav (Colors TV) and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (Sony SAB) also featured in the list.

No shows from ZEE TV and Sony TV could find a spot in the list of top Hindi serials in week 6, as per BARC TRP ratings.

PRACCHAND ASHOKA FIRST WEEK TRPS

Adnan Khan and Mallika Singh starrer Pracchand Ashok didn't start as per expectations. The historical show couldn't set the TRP charts on fire in its opening week. It opened with an average TVR of 0.8.

An industry source exclusively told Filmibeat, "Every year Colors TV suffers a drop in numbers after Bigg Boss ends. This year is no different. However, the low opening TRP of Pracchand Ashok is something to worry about. Despite a star-studded cast and strong promotional campaign, the historical show has failed to live up to the hype. A TVR of less than 1 is definitely not what the channel expected."
