Aima Baig addressed Barzakh controversy on her social media. She uploaded a post featuring Zindagi's official statement of withdrawing Barzakh from YouTube Pakistan. Aima wrote, "Sorry to say- as much as i love these actors. This was not the kinda movie our generation wanted to see- probably the worst way possible to get attention." She added, "SORRYNOTSORRY." Aima further wrote, "But this was not suppose to be displayed in our society specially- where people are already too sick and frustrated. NGL Kinda disappointed and disgusted by this level of attention from audience. Tbh Disgusting!!!!"

In her next post, Aima wrote, "I'm glad-we still have wise people handling s**t. These series was triggering for so many!!!" She wrote, "As much as i appreciate the effort and someone to have the balls to address such issues- trust me half of the sick people we have in our society- raping 6-8yrs old are enjoying it, rather than being ashamed of themselves." She further praised the makers, saying, "Baaki hats off to the makers of this series and people who actress so well in it- but trust me fihaal Pakistani awaam nahi badalnay wali. Wo aaj bhi utnay hi whshi or zalim hain, baaki maafi agar kisi ko kuch bhi bura laga toh."
