As Colors TV's Bigg Boss 17, hosted by Salman Khan, continues to garner widespread attention, the recent incidents on the show left Shivya feeling quite unsettled and shocked.

SHIVYA PATHANIA SUPPORTS ABHISHEK KUMAR

Bigg Boss 17 contestant Abhishek Kumar has been at loggerheads with his ex-girlfriend Isha Malviya and her current boyfriend Samarth Jurel since the beginning and their fights have become a regular occurrence. This week however, things went out of control when Isha and Samarth passed remarks on Abhishek's past mental health issues. This did not go down well with many viewers and celebrities, one of them being Shivya Pathania.

Posting a story on her Instagram, Shivya took a stand for Abhishek Kumar and slammed Isha-Samarth. She wrote, "Making fun of someone's mental health, emotional wellbeing and laughing at someone's health condition is just too heartbreaking to see.. you don't know how these things effect someone's life and will to live. It's hurtful to see. No one wishes to go through such painful experience in life and its not something to be made fun off..it's hurtful, never saw anything like this before."

As the world becomes more aware about issues surrounding mental health, it is indeed appalling to see someone be made fun of for their struggle with mental health. Thankfully, with strong public figures like Shivya Pathania, people can be reminded to treat such issues with the necessary sensitivity and support those who are going through such issues.
