Bigg Boss 18: Nyra Banerjee On Dealing With Makers Bringing Her Past Into The Show I Exclusive

Bigg Boss 18: Nyra Banerjee, who rose to fame with the TV show Divya Drishti, was introduced as one of the confirmed contestants of Bigg Boss 18 at the grand premiere by host Salman Khan. Bigg Boss is infamous for bringing contestants' deep, dark secrets from the past into the show. During Bigg Boss 17, Munawar Faruqui's ex-girlfriend Ayesha Khan was brought onto the show. Her allegations affected Munawar to such an extent that he had several mental breakdowns on the show. In an exclusive conversation, we asked Nyra how prepared she is if the makers decide to bring someone from her past into the show.

Answering the question, Nyra said, "See, there are surprises. They don't tell us in advance that we will invite this specific person from your past into the show; otherwise, there will be no real reaction. So whatever it is, it will be a real surprise."

The actress further added, "Definitely, even if something has happened with me in the past, it has been very peacefully sorted out, and everyone has moved on on a peaceful note. There have been no hard feelings. In fact, even if somebody comes on the show to gain footage or just to malign me, I'll simply say to that person, 'We have already forgiven each other in the past, but if you have come here just to gain some footage, I will tell them you are here for footage. Please have it and leave.'"

Revealing why she finally said yes to Bigg Boss this year after rejecting the show multiple times in the past, Nyra said, "I was first offered Bigg Boss when I was doing my TV show Divya Drishti. After that, I have been on and off in talks with the makers of Bigg Boss. Sometimes I was shooting for my TV shows, and whenever I used to see some Bigg Boss videos on social media, which were all about fights, I was a bit skeptical to participate, as to why I would let go of my peace. Also, I lost my dad a few years back, so I didn't want to participate where I'd be more triggered."

The actress further added, "But it was last year when my friend Aishwarya Sharma went to Bigg Boss. I actually got to know what Bigg Boss is, as for the first time I watched the season from start to finish. I then liked the concept and understood it, and that's when I made my mind to participate in Bigg Boss 18."
