Hosted by Riteish Deshmukh, Bigg Boss Marathi 5 started with a competition between top 6 finalists which included Nikki Tamboli, Abhijeet Sawant, Ankita Walawalkar, Jahnavi Killekar, Dhananjay Powar and Suraj Chavan. It was an interesting fight for the winner's trophy and Suraj Chavan was announced as the winner of Bigg Boss Marathi 5.

To note, while Suraj lifted the trophy, Abhijeet Sawant became the first runner up of the show. The Indian Idol season 1 winner had win millions of hearts with his impressive game and was a tough competition. He was quite an entertaining contestant in the show who had left was sportive and a great team player.
