So far, there have been reports that social media influencer Ankita Walawalkar, also known as Kokan Hearted Girl has been confirmed as the first contestant of the show. According to media reports, actor Shubhankar Tawde has been approached to participated in Riteish Deshmukh's Bigg Boss Marathi 5. To note, Shubhankar has been one of the renowned faces in the Marathi industry and is known for his role in Riteish Deshmukh starrer Ved. He made his big screen debut with Kaagar opposite Rinky Rajguru and was also seen in movies like Kani, Freshers etc. Besides, Shubhankar is said to be dating social media influencer Sameeksha Takke.

Apart from Shubhankar and Ankita, names like Arbaz Patel, Vivek Sangle, Chetan Wadnere and Varsha Usgaonkar have also been rumoured to be participating in Bigg Boss Marathi 5. However, an official announcement is yet to be made in this regard.
