When asked how she handled herself, especially when she was called a witch on such a big platform by a media person due to her marrying her best friend's husband, Kritika said, "I want to say this to everyone: I don't support polygamy. Please, nobody should marry twice. And whatever I did, honestly, I am bound to hear such things. I know I will have to hear such things for my entire life."

She further added, "But all I want to say is what has happened has happened; it's been seven years and I can't change that. Everyone has their own point of view; some people like me and some don't."

Kritika Malik has previously opened up about how she attempted suicide in the past when things were not working out between her, Payal, and Armaan. Apart from the polygamy issue, Kritika came into the limelight when Vishal Pandey said he felt guilty for considering Kritika beautiful since she is a married woman. Armaan was so enraged by Vishal's statements that he slapped him in the Bigg Boss OTT 3 house, leading both Armaan and Kritika to receive severe backlash on social media, with many stating that violence is not the solution to anything.
