The leading GEC has launched a series of shows including CID season 2, India's Best Dancer Vs Super Dancer, Indian Idol 15 and KBC 16 in the past four months. The channel is now gearing up for the launch of another reality show that will take viewers on a roller coaster ride.

TEJASSWI PRAKASH IS FIRST CONFIRMED CONTESTANT OF CELEBRITY MASTERCHEF

After weeks of speculations, Sony TV has officially announced Tejasswi Prakash as the first confirmed contestant of Celebrity MasterChef India. The Bigg Boss 15 winner will showcase her culinary skills in the new edition of the reality show.

The official Instagram handle of Sony TV and Tejasswi Prakash shared a video to confirm her participation in the show.

Sharing the reason behind accepting the offer, Tejassi called cooking on national television a 'whole new level of vulnerability. She expressed her confidence while participating in Celebrity MasterChef, saying that she has decided to put her heart for the show.

"Reality TV has taught me to be fearless and authentic but cooking on national television is a whole new level of vulnerability. I truly believe that food is a love language, so I've decided to put my heart (and culinary skills) on the line to impress the audiences and I hope this is a recipe for success," Tejasswi Prakash said in a statement released by Sony TV and quoted as saying by Times Of India.

CELEBRITY MASTERCHEF LAUNCH DATE, TIME SLOT

And here's an important exclusive update straight from the sets. Filmibeat has learned that Celebrity MasterChef will take a prime time slot on Sony TV from next year.

"Celebrity MasterChef is the next big launch on Indian Television after CID 2. The channel has planned to place the show on weekdays at 9pm slot, replacing Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 from February 2025. If KBC 16 gets an extension, MasterChef might take the weekday 10pm slot on Sony Entertainment Television," a reliable industry source exclusively told Filmibeat.
