Colors Channel Gives Ultimatum To Krishna Mohini, Fahmaan Khan-Debattama Saha's Show Under Scanner?

Krishna Mohini update: Colors channel is all set to spice up its fiction programming with the launch of a new show titled Misri. This year, the leading GEC has introduced several new dramas including Pracchand Ashk, Qayaamat Se Qayaamat Tak, Mangal Lakshmi, Mera Balam Thanedaar, Suhagan Chudail, Laxmi Narayan. Pracchand Ashok and Qayaamat Se Qayaamat Tak have already faced the axe due to low TRPs.

FAHMAAN KHAN SHOW KRISHAN MOHINI UNDER SCANNER

Krishna Mohini starring Fahmaan Khan and Debattama Saha was launched with several expectations in April 2024. Competition from IPL 2024 affected the early chances of the show as it directly clashed with the popular cricket league.

Filmibeat believes in breaking the news before others do it. We had earlier reported on May 31, 2024 that Colors channel is monitoring the TRPs of Krishna Mohini and might put Fahmaan Khan starrer under the scanner.

"Colors channel has not given an ultimatum to the show to pick up pace. However, considering the nature of the game in the industry, the programming team might change the course of the show or alter the storyline as the numbers are low," a reliable industry source told Filmibeat in May.

"Krishna Mohini was launched at a time when IPL 2024 season was at its peak. The channel and the fans need to give some time to the show as it has potential and rival show Teri Meri Doriyaann has also witnessed a drop in its viewership. If they add the right drama and continue to promote it, the show will pick pace like Mera Balam Thanedaar did at 9:30pm slot," another source said when asked if it's too early to pull the plug on Krishna Mohini.

WILL KRISHNA MOHINI GO OFF AIR?

According to a report in TellyExpress, Colors TV has issued an ultimatum to the production house to improve ratings or shut shop. The decision has been taken considering the launch of Mishri on July 3. Interestingly, Khubssurat starring Farman Haider and Yesha Harsora is also in the pipeline.

There's no confirmation about the show ending anytime soon; however, the numbers don't paint a rosy picture for the show.
