Exclusive! Dalljiet Kaur On Why She Filed An FIR Against Estranged Husband Nikhil Patel, "I Was Scared"

Dalljiet Kaur has been making it to the headlines because of her social media spat with her estranged husband Nikhil Patel. Dalljiet and Nikhil got married in March 2023, and she shifted to Kenya with him. After a few months, in January 2024, she came back to India, and later there were speculations about their separation. However, later she confirmed her separation, and both, Dalljiet and Nikhil, were posting against each other on social media.

The Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon actress has also filed an FIR against Nikhil, and recently she spoke about it with Filmibeat. In one of her posts, Dalljiet had mentioned that Nikhil has not responded to her FIR, so when we asked her if he has now given any response to it, she said, "His lawyer had come. I filed the FIR because I was mentally harassed, and I had gone through a lot physically; back, body everything takes a toll. Whatever happened with me was unfair. I don't know in which court and when it will be proved. But, it is unfair on so many levels, so that's why I had to do the FIR. Then he came home (India), and he got her (Safeena Nazar) as well. The toture was not ending, so I thought I should do the FIR. I had no intention, I was here since 6-7 months, but I did it to safeguard myself."

"I was scared that he doesn't do anything wrong with me or Jaydon because if a person has done so many unfair things and he is still not stopping, so he has no level. Honestly, I did FIR to safeguard myself. I have told this to police and even to the media openly that I am scared for my safety. I travel for my vlogs, and when I was there , he used to tell me 'I know people who know people. I can make things happen'. He didn't tell me, but I have heard him saying. So, I am scared that what if he does something. He has terrorised me so much that I had to safeguard myself and that's why I did the FIR. I went and openly told that if something happens to me I won't doubt anybody else. There was no choice, I was just being cornered, he should have just stopped. He didn't do that," Dalljiet added.

This was Dalljiet's second wedding. She was earlier married to actor Shalin Bhanot, and they both were blessed with a son, Jaydon, who stays with Dalljiet now.
