In response, Dalljit Kaur expressed skepticism about Shalin's interest, stating that he might be "too busy" to care. She wrote, "He has not reached messaged or reached out. I don't think he is interested to know what must have happened with his son. He must be too busy."

For those who are unaware, Dalljit Kaur and Shalin Bhanot were married in 2009 after meeting on the set of the TV show Kulvaddhu. Their marriage ended in 2015 following allegations of domestic violence from Dalljit. They share a son, Jaydon, who currently resides with Dalljit.

In March 2023, Dalljit married Nikhil Patel, but their relationship quickly deteriorated. They filed for divorce earlier this year, just ten months after their wedding. Nikhil explained their separation to E-Times in May, revealing that Dalljit's decision to move back to India with Jaydon was a major factor. He noted that their blended family's foundation wasn't as strong as hoped, leading to difficulties in settling in Kenya. The Indian wedding ceremony they held in Mumbai was more about cultural reassurance rather than legal commitment.

Amidst the ongoing issues, Dalljit accused Nikhil of infidelity on Instagram, claiming that loyalty and commitment were never part of their relationship. She suggested that while Nikhil promised to fix their problems, he was already preparing a replacement.

Adding to the drama, Dalljit has filed an FIR against Nikhil Patel at Mumbai's Agripada police station under sections 85 and 316(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, alleging cruelty and criminal breach of trust.
