Star Plus new serial name: It's raining new shows on Star Plus. After launching Maati Se Bandhi Dor, Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua, the channel introduced Advocate Anjali Awasthy to strengthen its fiction programming. The daily soap turned out to be a hit in the first week itself.

Earlier this week, Star Plus released a promo to officially announce its new show titled Do Dooni Pyaar. The show from the stable of Rashmi Sharma Production will hit the airwaves soon on the leading GEC.

Do Dooni Pyaar showcases the story of Ganga, a girl neglected by her family since childhood, while Abhay belongs to a wealthy and well educated family, and these two different thought-minded people come to get by the twist of fate is definitely something to watch out for. Set in Sonepur, Bihar, the show highlights the phenomenon of Pakadwa Vivah, or forced marriage, and recently the makers also treated the audience with the show's first intriguing promo that depicts the journey of Ganga that is not a bed of roses, yet Ganga surpasses those thorns with positivity.

With the show having a backdrop of Sonepur, there have been reports that the makers of the show Do Dooni Pyaar are considering shooting some special sequences there in order to give it a realistic touch and create authenticity. If these rumors are true, it will surely be an interesting one to watch as to how these aspects of reel and real will be captured.

Do Dooni Pyaar will air its first episode on Star Plus from 28th August at 6:40 PM. The show will replace Yeh Hai Chahatein at the early evening slot from next week.
