ED Summons Bigg Boss OTT 2 Winner Elvish Yadav In Connection With Snake Venom Case Months After Arrest
YouTuber Elvish Yadav, winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate on July 23 related to a snake venom case. This follows his arrest in March under the Wildlife Protection Act and for criminal conspiracy, attracting significant financial inquiry under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

Elvish Yadav was initially arrested in March this year by Noida Police under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, and for criminal conspiracy under section 120B of the Indian Penal Code. Following his arrest, NDTV reported that he had confessed to his crimes, although no official statement was released.
Summons and Previous Arrest
Earlier reports indicated that Elvish was supposed to appear before the ED on July 8. However, he did not show up, citing his foreign tour as the reason. This led to rescheduling his questioning to July 23. His close aide, Haryana singer Rahul Yadav, also known as Fazilpuriya, was questioned earlier this week at the ED Lucknow office regarding a snake used in one of his music videos.
A week after his arrest in March, Elvish Yadav was granted bail on a bond of Rs 50,000. His lawyer Prashant Rathi argued that Elvish was falsely accused and no illegal substances were found with him or his friends. "The court has granted bail to him (Elvish Yadav) as well as his two friends on two sureties of Rs 50,000 each," Rathi stated.
Legal Proceedings and Personal Reflections
Reflecting on his time in jail, Elvish described it as a very challenging period in one of his vlogs. "The one week that went by, no doubt, was a very bad phase of life. What to talk about the time I was inside (jail). Let's start a new chapter on a positive note," he said. He expressed gratitude towards everyone who supported him during this difficult time.
The snake venom case involves significant financial dealings which prompted the ED to take action under PMLA regulations. The investigation aims to uncover more details about the money trail and those involved in this illicit trade.
