Elvish Yadav Faces Legal Trouble: Police Complaint Filed For Photographing Kashi Vishwanath Temple
Elvish Yadav, winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, is under scrutiny again with a new legal complaint for taking photos inside the restricted Kashi Vishwanath temple area. This incident adds to Yadav's ongoing legal challenges, including an investigation in a snake venom case.

Elvish Yadav Kashi Vishwanath Controversy: Elvish Yadav, the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, is facing legal issues once again. According to the Times of India, a complaint has been lodged against him for allegedly taking photos inside the Kashi Vishwanath temple complex. The complaint was filed by Prateek Kumar Singh, an advocate from the Varanasi sessions court.
Another Police Complaint Against Elvish Yadav
In his letter, Singh claimed that Yadav's actions have raised questions about the authorities' impartiality. Mobile phones and cameras are strictly prohibited within the temple premises. Singh has urged the police to take appropriate action against Yadav for this violation.
This incident is not Yadav's first brush with the law. He is also under investigation in connection with the Noida Snake Venom Case. Earlier this week, he appeared at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Lucknow regarding this case. As he arrived, he was surrounded by media personnel who questioned him about the charges.
Yadav avoided answering questions from the press, stating that the matter was sub-judice and he would only comment after speaking with ED officials. "Jo unhone maanga tha, woh maine submit kiya hai ab woh batayenge. Main baar baar ek cheez repeat nahi kar sakta," he said to reporters, as seen in videos circulating on X.
Snake Poisoning Case & Arrest
In March this year, Elvish Yadav was arrested by Noida Police in a snake poisoning case. The case was filed under provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, and for criminal conspiracy under section 120B of the Indian Penal Code. A day after his arrest, NDTV reported that Yadav had admitted to his crimes; however, no official statement was released.
A week later, Yadav was granted bail on a bond of Rs 50,000. His lawyer Prashant Rathi told the media that their argument was based on Yadav being falsely accused and that no illegal substances were found on him or his friends that violated the NDPS act. The court granted bail to Yadav and his two friends on two sureties of Rs 50,000 each.
Reflecting on his time in jail, Elvish described it as a "very bad phase" of his life. "The one week that went by, no doubt, was a very bad phase of life. What to talk about the time I was inside (jail). Let's start a new chapter on a positive note," he said in one of his vlogs. He expressed gratitude towards everyone who supported or criticized him during this period.
