Anupamaa Leap Twist: The Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna starrer show will soon undergo a dramatic turnover. The makers have already released a promo almost a week ago, where Anu is now taking care of an old age home, while Anuj has become mentally unstable. Since the promo went viral, there have been many speculations about the upcoming story. The buzz is quite strong that the show will take another leap of 5 years, after which Anu and Anuj's lives will change forever. However, in an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, Gaurav Sharma, who essays the character of Toshu, and Vaquar Shaikh, who essays Yashdeep, have opened up about the new story. Going by their response, it seems that the show is not going for a 5-year generational leap, but just a small transition of a few months.

When asked about the upcoming story of the show, since the promo featuring Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna is creating quite a buzz on social media, Vaquar Shaikh said, 'Honestly speaking, actors and directors are informed about changes in the story at the very last moment. I remember when Rupali and Gaurav were shooting for the promo, I asked my director and creative team about what was happening. They said that as of now, they don't know anything. I have got to know that there will be a leap of 3 or 5 months.'

Gaurav Sharma also confirmed that the show won't be going for a major leap; instead, there will be a small transition. The actor said, ''As far as I know and for whatever I have shot for, it's not a big leap. There will just be a small transition in the story. But certainly, there's no big leap happening in the show.''

While both Gaurav and Vaquar's statements above clearly state that there will be no 5-year leap in the show, there are many theories circulating about the new story. It is stated that the new story will feature Kavya and Vanraj's legal separation. Also, it will be Kavya, not Shruti, who will take care of Aadhya as Anuj will be mentally unstable.
