Rohit Suchanti Exclusive: The International Day of Families is celebrated every year on May 15 to show how important families are in society. It's a good chance to think about how much our families mean to us and to understand the problems families face today. Family is the most important part of anyone's life. It gives us a feeling of safety, knowing we have someone to talk to and share our happiness with. Basically, our family is everything to us.

On the special occasion, TV star Rohit Suchanti shares his views on the importance of family and reveals how close he is to his parents.

Rohit Suchanti, who essays the role of Rishi in Bhagya Lakshmi said, "I am a complete family man. I love spending time with them. I guess it was from my childhood days that my parents ensured that we spent at least one day in the week together. I guess I got it from them that I try to dedicate one day in the week only to them even today. We have a lot of family gatherings where all my cousins and extended family would come together for dinners, lunches, and trips. It was a ritual to celebrate any occasion with each other. I am truly fortunate to have been born into this family. My family is my biggest strength and strongest support system. Whenever I find myself in a tough situation I always turn to my parents for advice. After I moved to Mumbai, in the initial days it was surely a bit difficult for me to live away from my parents. But now that we live together, everything is just perfect. I also have a home away from home, my Bhagya Lakshmi family. I spend most of my time with them on set, and I am fortunate to have these co-stars as my family."
