Shakti Arora Exclusive: Starring Bhavika Sharma as the main protagonist Savi, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has been entertaining viewers since its debut on Star Plus in 2020. A few days ago, the hit show witnessed a leap after which Hitesh Bharadwaj replaced Shakti Arora as the male protagonist.

While Shakti Arora won love and appreciation for his portrayal of Ishaan, the makers of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin introduced his death track before the leap which resulted in Hitesh Bharadwaj's entry as the new hero, Rajat. While the actor has been giving his best to the character, the loyal fans of GHKKPM will take some time before accepting the new male lead with open arms.

While Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin fans have already started shipping Bhavika and Hitesh's characters as SaRaj, the first-week post-leap ratings came out last week which showed a dip after Ishaan's death. While the daily soap was getting 2+ TVR earlier, it has dropped to 1.9 after the leap. In an exclusive chat with Filmibeat, former lead star Shakti Arora shared his views about the show's ratings decreasing after his exit.

Talking about the same, the talented actor stated, "I know my well-wishers are missing me and they want me to come back to the show also. It's obvious when a show takes a leap and the main characters exit. It bounds to happen. When we see the OTT series also, there are different seasons. Every season has a different flavor. So, this season has a different flavor. Probably, people will accept it, probably some will not. As of now, I've seen the TRPs are low, they've dipped. But, I think once people start accepting the new cast, the new characters, again, the TRPs will rise. It's a pattern and every time this happens."

For those who might have missed it, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin recently introduced Kaveri Priyam as Aashka, Rajat's ex-wife. Although Aashka has moved on and is with someone else, her feelings start to shift when she sees Rajat with their daughter, Sai. Additionally, Aasim Khan has confirmed his role in the popular Star Plus show as Lucky, Rajat's brother, who will be the new villain.
